Day 6 Tikal Discover the soaring jungle-clad pyramids of Tikal, where monkeys and colourful toucans are plentiful in the surrounding rainforest. Tikal was a highlight; seeing temples still claimed by jungle next to those that'd been uncovered was amazing. Our guide was great too, taking us off the tourist paths to see things others missed, watching an anteater wandering oblivious through the treetops and monkeys playing just feet away will stay with me forever.
