Itinerary Day 1/2 Overnight flight to Hong Kong. Day 3 Hong Kong Your odyssey begins Learn about the conservation of a threatened species on a visit to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Day 12-15 Emei Shan See the Grand Buddha at Leshan before journeying to the holy mountain of Emei Shan. Stay in a monastery and walk to the mountain summit (optional). Day 16-18 Xi'an Once the imperial centre of China for 2000 years, Xi'an has many historical sites. You'll visit the 2,000 year old Terracotta Warriors and have free time to explore or climb the Bell tower for a great view of the city. Day 19-21 Beijing Finally in Beijing you can stroll in the famous Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. You'll also make a trip to the stunning Great Wall. Day 22 Fly home. Day 7-9 Chengyang Step back in time in charming Chengyang. Cross the Wind and Rain Bridge, try bamboo dancing and enjoy a cup of tea with a local before taking an overnight train to Chengdu. Day 10/11 Chengdu Home to spicy Sichuan cuisine, Chengdu also boasts many traditional tea houses and markets. All elements in the itinerary are included, unless otherwise stated.
