Day 3/4 Osjiek Take a train to the Slavonic capital of Osijek and enjoy the delightful streets of this medieval citadel. Day 5 Novi Sad Known as the Serbian Athens, Novi Sad is an interesting mix of Serbian heritage, Austro-Hungarian architecture and scenic beauty. Day 6/7 Belgrade One of the oldest cities in Europe, Belgrade is built at the confluence of two rivers, the Sava and the Danube. Day 11 Ostrog Monastery On to Montenegro, stopping at the Ostrog Monastery, built into a rocky cliff face. Day 12/13 Kotor Climb the hills over Kotor fortress and see the ruined castles, or take a kayak out on the fjord (additional charge). Day 14 Dubrovnik Dubrovnik's old town is instantly recognisable by its terracota roofs, and a walk around the city walls is recommended.
