Discover the highlights of the French Mont Blanc region with spectacular walks in the shadow of the highest mountain in Western Europe. Exploring on foot you will encounter awe-inspiring mountain scenery with dramatic views of Mont Blanc itself, as well as beautiful alpine pastures and imposing glaciers. Your base is a homely farmhouse where your hosts always give you a warm welcome and you'll enjoy fabulous, home-cooked food throughout the week.

Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Geneva and transfer to St.
catching the cabin lift to Le Pontet, you walk past Roselette Lake before arriving at the Col de la Fenêtre where you'll experience stunning views of Mont Blanc. Day 3 Col du Tricot Starting at Le Champel, you pass a waterfall to arrive at the foot of the Bionassey Glacier. For those who wish, you can summit Mount Vorrassey for superb panoramic views. Day 4 Lac de Pormenaz Today's route takes you to the Lac de Pormenaz which provides dazzling reflections of the mountains in the water; the return route is through limestone boulder fields. Gervais. Chamonix, take a tramway to experience great views of the Bionassey Glacier or hire a bike and explore by yourself (all at additional charge) before meeting for dinner at a local restaurant. Day 6 Aiguillette des Houches This walk traverses through pine forests and offers unbelievable views of the Mont Blanc massif. Day 7 Glacier du Tour The final walk offers the best opportunities to spot marmots and brings you right next to the Tour Glacier. Day 8 Transfer to Geneva and fly home.

Moderate to demanding. On most days you can expect to walk for 6-7 hours. A good level of walking/general fitness is required. Maximum altitude 2,702m. There are several short strenuous ascents, some with fixed cables/rails and some fairly steep descents. Activities Walking Transport Minibus, cabin lift, chair lift, on foot Accommodation Chalet (7nts) You'll stay in a beautifully converted farmhouse with fantastic views of Mont Blanc. All meals are prepared by your hosts and offer a fine selection of local cuisine. Meals included 7 breakfasts, 5 lunches & 6 dinners (with wine)
