The walks take place in the heart of the Taurus Mountains among beautiful surroundings of ice lakes, valleys and gorges, before heading to the surreal rock formations of Cappadocia. Day 2 Istanbul City tour including today, you'll pass beautiful lakes and you may spot grazing ibex on the high plains. Up at Emler Summit (3,723m) you have views over the surrounding Bolkar Range. Day 10 Karagol An early start today heading for Yedigoller, with spectacular views as you pass some striking lakes. Day 11 Ihlara Village Descend through Maden Gorge, passing Guzelyurt, an important location in the religious history of the area, before arriving in Ihlara village where you stay overnight. Day 12/13 Cappadocia Starting walking in the Ihlara Valley, you visit the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. Day 14 Transfer to Kayseri airport and fly home. Essentials Day 9 Emler Summit Whilst walking The countryside is remote and the terrain will often be rough underfoot. Walks are long, and in mountainous areas you will encounter long ascents and descents. You must be fit and have trekking experience. Maximum altitude 3,723m. Mules/porters carry main luggage.
