Over two weeks you'll explore some of the best mountain terrain Turkey has to offer, experiencing the vast and contrasting landscapes of this enchanting country. The walks take place in the heart of the Taurus Mountains among beautiful surroundings of ice lakes, valleys and gorges, before heading to the surreal rock formations of Cappadocia. To complete the experience, there is time to explore the vibrant city of Istanbul.

Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Istanbul. Day 2 Istanbul City tour including
today, you'll pass beautiful lakes and you may spot grazing ibex on the high plains. Up at Emler Summit (3,723m) you have views over the surrounding Bolkar Range. Day 10 Karagol An early start today heading for Yedigoller, with spectacular views as you pass some striking lakes. Day 11 Ihlara Village Descend through Maden Gorge, passing Guzelyurt, an important location in the religious history of the area, before arriving in Ihlara village where you stay overnight. Day 12/13 Cappadocia Starting walking in the Ihlara Valley, you visit the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia. Day 14 Transfer to Kayseri airport and fly home.

Day 9 Emler Summit Whilst walking
The countryside is remote and the terrain will often be rough underfoot. Walks are long, and in mountainous areas you will encounter long ascents and descents. You must be fit and have trekking experience. Maximum altitude 3,723m. Mules/porters carry main luggage. Land Only itinerary starts on Day 3 at Kayseri Airport. Activities Walking, sightseeing Transport Domestic flights (for flight inclusive passengers only), minibus, on foot Accommodation Hotel (4nts), camping (8nts) Some campsites have toilet facilities, although others don't and you should expect basic conditions. Meals included 13 breakfasts, 11 lunches & 11 dinners

Istanbul's labyrinthine bazaars and ancient mosques. Day 3/4 Emli Valley Fly to Cappadocia and trek to Emli Valley base camp. Hikes include a picturesque walk through cedar and juniper trees and offer spectacular views of the southern Aladaglar region from Alaca Yayla. Day 5/6 Sokulupinar Walks include ascending the Siyirmalik Valley and descending into the Climbar Canyon. Day 7/8 Yedigoller Plateau A tough ascent over the Celikbuyduran Pass leads to the summit of Emler Peak; from here you can enjoy views of volcanoes and the Taurus Mountains.
