Itinerary in Delhi, before an overnight train journey to Udaipur. Day 3/4 Udaipur Explore the city of Udaipur, where the City Palace overlooks the renowned Lake Palace Hotel, surrounded by water on all sides. Day 5/6 Ranakpur Continue to Ranakpur; situated amongst the Aravali Hills, it has one of the most important Jain temples in India. Day 7/8 Jodhpur Visit Meherangarh Fort, with views over the blue Brahmin houses of Jodhpur. Day 9-11 Jaisalmer Head to the desert city of Jaisalmer, where you will find plenty of superb photo opportunities. Day 12 Bikaner Next you travel deeper into the Thar Desert to Bikaner, a delightful old walled city. Essentials Day 13 Shekhawati Before moving on to Pushkar, you'll see the painted havelis of Shekhawati. Day 14/15 Pushkar Your adventure continues to the lakeside town of Pushkar, the lake here being one of the most sacred places in India. The camel fair takes place takes place in November. Day 16/17 Jaipur In the `Pink City' of Jaipur, you'll visit the Palace of the Winds and Amber Fort. Day 18/19 Agra & Taj Mahal Visit the sublime Taj Mahal at sunrise, before taking the train back to Delhi.
