This wonderful holiday combines the mysteries of ancient Egypt with an unforgettable Nile River journey. Starting in Cairo you discover the magnificent Pyramids at the foot of Giza, before journeying to the laid back Nile city of Aswan. You'll embark on a two-day relaxing sailtrek, observing daily life on the banks of the Nile aboard feluccas. In Luxor, travel by donkey to the Valley of the Kings where Tutankhamun was discovered and explore Karnak Temple - a fantastic trip!

Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Cairo. Day 2 Pyramids Visit the Egyptian Day 6 Kom Ombo Continuing by felucca, you'll visit the temple of Kom Ombo before arriving in Luxor, the capital of the Pharaohs. Day 7/8 Luxor Trek by donkey to the Valley of the Kings, then hop aboard a horse-drawn calesh to see the amazing statues and obelisks of Karnak Temple. Return to Cairo by sleeper train. Day 9 Cairo Free time to explore Cairo. You can take an optional trip to Saqqara (additional charge) or spend some time haggling in Cairo's Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. Day 10 Fly home.

Museum, housing the richest collection of artefacts in the world including Tutankhamun's treasure, before exploring the legendary Pyramids and the enigmatic Sphinx at Giza. Board a sleeper train to Aswan. Day 3 Aswan The pace is slower in Aswan and home to the Nubian people - enjoy an optional camel ride (additional charge), visit Kitchener Island or visit the bazaar and try your hand at haggling. Day 4/5 Nile Felucca Over the next two days, journey along the Nile by traditional felucca and pass wondrous temples and see the local farmers about their daily lives. Relax and sleep out under the stars.
