Itinerary Day 1 Fly to Cairo and transfer to your largest city in Africa. You will visit the legendary Pyramid and Sphinx of Giza and search for priceless treasures at the Egyptian Museum. Board the overnight sleeper train to Aswan. Day 3 Aswan Today is free to explore. Haggle with the shop keepers in the bazaar, ride a camel to St. Simeon's Monastery, or perhaps discover Elephantine Island. In the evening you can enjoy a meal with a local Nubian family (additional charge). Day 4-6 Luxury Felucca Relax and watch life pass by on the banks of this mighty river, stopping to explore the great hotel. temples of Kom Ombo (unique in Egypt as it is dedicated to two gods) and Edfu on the way, before arriving in Luxor. Day 7/8 Luxor After an optional early morning hot air balloon ride (additional charge) to experience unforgettable views over Luxor, you'll trek by donkey to the Valley of the Kings. Then travel by calesh to see the amazing statues and obelisks of Karnak Temple. Day 9 Cairo Fly back to Cairo, where there is plenty more to discover - you can choose to explore Coptic churches or the citadel, or visit the pyramids at Dashur and Saqqara (additional charge).
