Day 1 Fly to Amman. Day 2 Jerash Near Amman you'll savour Day 5 Petra The `lost city' of Petra is one of the new Wonders of the World. A full day visit allows you to see the treasury, monastery and the many amphitheatres for which this amazing site is famed. Day 6 Wadi Rum Exploring Wadi Rum by 4WD will give you a closer look at this amazing place. Spend the night sleeping under the stars in a Bedouin-style camp, where you can watch as the rocks change hue as the sun sets. Day 7 Dead Sea Floating in the Dead Sea is a remarkable feeling you'll be able to experience for yourself this afternoon. Day 8 Drive to Amman; fly home.

There is a reasonable amount of walking involved, especially in Petra and Dana. The desert can be hot in summer and cold during the evening. The desert camp is basic with no washing facilities but it's worth it to stay in this beautiful remote location. The Bedouin tents sleep 10 people with mattresses and blankets. Consistently hailed as a highlight by our travellers, Dana Nature Reserve is one of Jordan's natural treasures and best kept secrets. You'll walk along some of the trails, spotting flora and fauna, before you journey along the King's Highway to Petra via the Crusader castle of Kerak.
