This short and active trip is the perfect introduction to Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains. Starting in lively Marrakech, you'll explore the old city on a tour through the atmospheric souks and bazaars. Escape from the hustle and bustle to the majestic Atlas Mountains, where you'll experience the challenge of trekking to Mt. Toubkal - North Africa's highest peak (4,167m). Making it to the summit is a real achievement and the views from the top are worth all the effort.

Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Marrakech. Day 2/3 Imlil A short drive takes you Day 7 Marrakech A guided city walk gives you an orientation of old Marrakech. Browse through the souks and tannery ending at Djemaa el-Fna square, where you can watch jugglers, acrobats and musicians. Free time for last minute shopping. Day 8 Fly home.
Essentials
Walks are moderate to demanding. The ascent of Mt. Toubkal is strenuous and should only be attempted by experienced mountain walkers but you can opt out. You need to be reasonably fit to get the most out of the trip with decent hiking boots. Activities Walking, trekking, discover natural wonders, explore markets, explore local villages, city tour Transport Minibus, on foot Accommodation Hotel (3nts), gite (2nts), refuge/camping (2nts). Accommodation and facilities in the gite and while camping are basic, showers may be available but at an additional charge. Meals included 7 breakfasts, 3 lunches & 4 dinners

away from the city and into the High Atlas Mountains. Based at a gite, you acclimatise with various walks around the region. Day 4/5 Mt. Toubkal Time to tackle the mountain. On your first day you ascend to Neltner Refuge, where you camp for the night. The next day is summit day! Your effort will be rewarded by superb views of the entire Atlas range. You return to Neltner for another night. Day 6 Marrakech A morning hike brings you back down to Imlil where you meet the vehicles and return to Marrakech with time at leisure to explore.
