Combine a relaxing break in one of the charming beach resorts of the Makarska Riviera with a 2 night stay in the historic city of Dubrovnik. Day 1 (Monday) Makarska Riviera Dubrovnik: A morning start from your hotel travelling by coach on the three hour trip along the pretty coastal road, and the chance to see some of the spectacular scenery and stunning landscape of this picturesque region. On arrival in Dubrovnik, your tour begins with a coach drive along the coastal highway for a panoramic view of the city walls, ancient rooftops and beautifully scenic surroundings. This is followed by a walking tour of the historic city, which was placed on UNESCOs World Heritage list in 1979 due to its exceptional beauty and rich, cultural heritage. This ancient town surrounded by ramparts and fortresses is a treasure trove of architectural and cultural masterpieces scrupulously preserved over the centuries. A pleasant walk will take you to the Rectors Palace, the Dominican Monastery, as well as to other places of interest. Following the guided city tour your coach will then take you mid afternoon to the Hotel Uvala for check-in. Day 2 (Tuesday) Dubrovnik A day at your leisure and a further opportunity to discover some of the many sights and historic monuments that make up this enchanting city. Take a stroll along Stradun, the main street within the heart of the Old Town with a myriad of narrow cobbled streets and alleyways leading off towards the city walls. There are also numerous museums, palaces, churches and public buildings to explore, whilst shops in the Old Town offer the perfect opportunity to purchase a memento of your stay. Street cafés, cosy bars, and elegant restaurants provide refreshment and relaxation, and a chance to sample some of the tasty local dishes, beers and wines. Day 3 (Wednesday) Dubrovnik Makarska Riviera: After a morning at leisure, your coach will collect you mid afternoon and take you back to your hotel in the Makarska Riviera, arriving early evening to continue your relaxing beach holiday.
