4 day Safari
Combining the Tsavo and Amboseli National Parks, this 4 day safari highlights not only wildlife but also the stark contrasts of the African landscape. Here you can track down elephants, lions, cheetahs and zebra against the stunning backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro. Day 1, Mombasa, Tsavo East (160 km/approx 3.5 hours); From Mombasa Airport drive to the Tsavo East National Park entering through the Bachuma gate. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route before commencing your safari which includes a visit to the Aruba Dam, a man-made watering hole and one of the best places to view and photograph this Parks resident game. The Park is famous for its amazing birdlife with over 500 species recorded, including ostrich, some migratory kestrels and buzzards which stop in this area during their long flight south. Dinner and overnight at the Voi Wildlife Lodge Day 2, Tsavo East/Amboseli (200 km/approx 4 hours); After breakfast, depart and drive to Amboseli via Emali. Lunch is at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the lodge facilities including a swimming pool. Dinner and overnight at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge. Day 3, Amboseli; After breakfast, depart with picnic lunches for a full day of game viewing in Amboseli National Park, home to a variety of species of game and a multitude of birds which congregate along the parks many swamps. Early evening return to your lodge for a sundowner. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge Day 4, Amboseli/Mombasa (400 km/approx 7 hours); After breakfast, drive over the Shetani lava flows and on over to the Tsavo West National Park. Visit the Mzima springs, a natural wonder of underground rivers flowing from the hills into a marvellous eruption of crystal clear water forming a natural whirlpool for hippo and crocodiles. Lunch is at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge. Afternoon drive down to Mombasa with game viewing en route. Transfer to your beach hotel for the remainder of your holiday.
