A city break to remember&
This cruise kicks off with Ijmuiden, your gateway to fun-loving Amsterdam. This city will wheedle its way into your affections fast - there's just so much to do. Swap your cruise ship for a canal boat and glide through the shimmering waterways. Head for the annexe where Anne Frank wrote her famous diary. Or simply hire a bike and pedal your way through the city's beautiful parks. After a day in Holland you'll sail on to Zeebrugge. The 'must-see' from here? Postcard-pretty Bruges. Inhale the sweet scent of the city's famously good chocolate as you explore the tiny cobbled streets. If you didn't take a canal ride in Amsterdam, do it here. You'll drift past some great places like the Church of Notre Dame. From Belgium, it's time to sample the delights of France. If you're into history, head for the nearby beaches of Normandy. The landings here in June 1944 changed the course of the Second World War. Or get out into the countryside and see some of the castles and churches that still echo with tales of old. After that, a day at sea will bring you to Ireland and the port of Cobh, your gateway to the Cork region. Cork's made something of a name for itself among gourmets so don't leave without trying the delicious seafood. Then walk it off along that spectacular coastline. With Cobh ticked off your list, it's almost time to head for home - but not before a day in the fair city of Dublin. Delve inside the chunky walls of Dublin Castle. Discover how they make the black stuff in the Guinness Storehouse. Then stop for a pint in the famous Temple Bar district where pubs, galleries and boutiques collide. Last but not least, your ship will dock in Liverpool, where sights and shops meet bars and Beatles memorabilia. It's a holiday to remember in more ways than one.
