Set on the east bank of the River Nile, this place is swanky to say the least. As you walk into the reception youd be forgiven for thinking youve walked into the Sultan of Bruneis house. A huge sparkling chandelier winks at you from above, while your freshlypolished shoes dazzle in the glare of the marble floor. Once youve picked your jaw up off the floor, wander out and see the rest of the hotel. If youre a bit of a foodie, the four restaurants will soon befriend your taste buds. But these arent your run-ofthe-mill hotel menus. These are the cream of the a la carte crop. Treat them to some traditional dishes, or branch out with some Japanese and Italian fayre. And the restaurants themselves are just as impressive as the food. In fact, theyre so swish youre half expecting the Egyptian president to pop in for afternoon tea. Elsewhere, youll find plenty of ways to pamper yourself silly. Theres an excellent health club offering saunas, Jacuzzis, and steam baths. And if youre into massages, hop onto the table and let the healing hands of a masseuse work their magic. Of course, we cant talk about a five star hotel without mentioning the pool. And what a beauty it is, stretching out to sea like its trying to escape. We could spend all day telling you about this place, but its one of those hotels you really have to see for yourself. So walk like an Egyptian towards this five star firecracker.
