All have great locations within the national parks, overlooking waterholes or vast plains, so you can simply relax in the comfort of your lodge and admire the animals and views. With extras such as a bush breakfast and dinner, meeting members of local tribes and a guided nature walk, this safari offers a diverse insight into Kenya, its people and several of the countrys leading wilderness areas. The itinerary for your safari is as follows. Day 1 Mombasa - Tsavo Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and depart for Kilaguni. Following lunch there will be an afternoon game drive. Stay at Kilaguni Serena Lodge. Day 2 Tsavo - Amboseli National Park Early breakfast followed by a game drive en route, you will leave Kilaguni for Amboseli National Park with some game viewing during the journey. After lunch, there will be a game drive and return to the lodge as the sun sets. Stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge. Day 3 Amboseli National Park Most of the day is spent in the park, exploring the vast plains, forests and Kilimanjaros foothills with the chance to see elephant, rhino, hyena and cheetah. Enjoy a barbecue dinner accompanied by Masai dancers and their chanting. Stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge. Day 4 Amboseli National Park After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with game viewing during the first part of the journey. Following lunch you will visit the Giraffe Centre, where you can feed the rare Rothschild giraffe, then on to the former home of Karen Blixen, the author of Out of Africa. Lunch will be at Carnivore, one of Africas most famous restaurants. Dinner and stay at Nairobi Serena Hotel. Day 5 Nairobi - Lake Nakuru Depart after breakfast, drive north through towards the Great Rift Valley and Lake Nakuru. The afternoon will be spent on a game drive admiring the millions of water birds, plains game and rhino. Stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Day 6 Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve Set off for one of the most exciting and beautiful game reserves in Africa - the Masai Mara. The Mara Serena is located in one of the reserves most favoured game viewing areas, with endless acacia plains studded with spectacular hills. After lunch, at a lodge on the way to the Mara Serena, there is a game drive through this fascinating wilderness area. You will then arrive at your lodge in the afternoon. Stay at Mara Serena Lodge. Day 7 Masai Mara National Reserve The day is spent in the park & is dependant on local conditions and game movement. Here you will enjoy a tasty bush breakfast with sparkling wine while taking in the stunning views. Spend the day viewing spectacular wildlife a short drive from the lodge, or enjoy a picnic. Stay at Mara Serena Lodge. Day 8 Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi. After an early breakfast, depart across the plains reaching Nairobi in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon you will transfer to the airport for your early evening flight to Mombasa. Upon arrival you will transfer to your chosen beach hotel for 7 nights. Please Note: Prices are based on two people sharing on a full board basis on safari. See your hotel description for board arrangements in Mombasa. This safari departs upon arrival at Mombasa airport so you will need to have your bag packed ready. Locked luggage can be stored at your coastal hotel. Single rooms are available upon request.
