Set on a seven-kilometre stretch of Blue Flag beach, this place couldn't be in a better location. It's just a short stroll to the resort's private marina and perched on a hill next to the hotel is a ruined Byzantine tower. Following the hotel's recent makeover, the whole interior is very design-conscious. With a lot of thought going into the restaurants, too. In the Poseidon, they've kept things simple with marble floors, cushioned banquettes and cream linens. The Veranda takes a more contemporary line with pale wood, booth-style seating and beige-on-beige colour scheme. Outside, the massive, lagoon-style pool steals the show. Stretching along the seafront, it comes with a little island and a wooden bridge.
