This place has a 21st-century edge. From the outside, it's a vision in sleek white tiles. Inside, the set-up is minimalist through and through. Cue a lobby graced with glass, brushed steel and funky seating cubes. What's more, because the hotel only has 51 rooms, it has an intimate vibe that fits with the boutique interiors. As for the location, the hotel's tucked into a hillside along Lapad Bay. There's a man-made beach of concrete platforms just below, too. Plus, you'll find restaurants and shops close by, as well as a bus stop with regular buses to Dubrovnik's old town. When it comes to food, the Mantala restaurant serves up buffet breakfasts and dinners. In keeping with the rest of the hotel, it's smartly finished with crisp white linen and cool blue walls. Plus, it opens to a steel-pillared terrace where you can dine while looking out over the bay. Food-wise, expect global and Croatian buffets with soups, salads, meat and fish among your options.
