The hotel was built in the Fifties, during the Riviera heydays. It's a snapshot of vintage Italy � button-fronted bellboys ferry luggage up to rooms and the d�cor is straight out of a Merchant Ivory film. The foyer is stunning � marble floors, twinkling chandeliers, gilt-framed mirrors and fine antiques. The restaurant � Le Muse - deserves a special mention, too. Not only is the food `molto bene' but just sitting here is a pleasure in itself.
