Sandwiched between the centre of Sousse and the picturesque harbour town of Port El Kantoui, this place will win you over with its location. If you jump in a taxi, you can be in the heart of either hub in around five minutes. And because the hotel is surrounded by gardens, you'll feel tucked away even though you're just metres from shops, bars and restaurants. Better still, it clings to a private section of Sousse Beach so you can be on the sand in seconds. The property itself is a pretty, whitewashed number. Inside, think monochrome minimalism in terms of décor, with notable Arabic influences such as tall arched windows and hanging lanterns. As for the bedrooms, light walls and patterned curtains keep things simple. Each one comes with air-conditioning and a balcony with sea views. Head outside and you'll find the pool. It's a rectangular set-up framed by loungers, parasols and palms. There's a children's pool beside it, as well. And if you're feeling peckish mid-afternoon, there's a snack bar. In terms of sports, there's tennis, billiards and minigolf to choose from, as well as a gym. If all that sounds too much like hard work, head for the sauna or the steam bath, or treat yourself to a massage at the spa. Food-wise, there's an airy buffet restaurant serving up Tunisian and international specialities.
