CoSTA BlAnCA
Miles of beaches, world-class theme parks and lively cities the Costa Blanca delivers it all, and more.
1. Terra Mitica
Terra Mitica theme park gives Alton Towers a run for its money. Daredevils will love the Tizona, which speeds around an 100-foot-high track at 62 miles an hour. Another favourite's Synkope, a giant spinning wheel. or, take things easier and catch a gladiator fight or belly dancing show.

2. Aqualandia
With rainbow-coloured tubes and chutes, Aqualandia looks like a giant chemistry set. The number one ride here is the Big Bang, Europe's highest waterslide, dropping you down at an 80-degree angle. There's also a wave pool, a lazy river and a jungle pool with waterfalls.
olidaymakers have been flocking to the Costa Blanca for decades now. Benidorm leads the charge. With a four-mile stretch of white sand and a skyline of skyscrapers, it delivers a beach break with a twist. What's more, the place is home to family-friendly attractions like the Terra Mitica and Aqualandia theme parks. Benidorm knows how to burn the midnight oil, too its collection of bars and discos put on everything from foam parties to international DJ sets. Another one of the Costa Blanca's big players is Alicante. With its hilltop castle and chic boutiques, it still feels deeply Spanish. Valencia is also within easy reach of the Costa Blanca. This up-and-coming city is snapping at the heels of Barcelona in the must-see stakes, thanks to its space-age architecture and massive oceanographic aquarium. Away from the coast, there's another side of Spain to explore. Head into rocky hills and orange-growing valleys to discover the mountaintop town Guadalest, the palm-grove village of Elche, and the beautiful Algar waterfalls.
3. Mundomar
This huge wildlife park gives you the chance to see hundreds of exotic birds and marine animals close-up. Home to everything from penguins to parakeets, all living in replica jungles and rocky pools, so it's almost like seeing them in the wild. And, the dolphin show here is not to be missed
