villages, featuring quaint inns, teashops and beautiful churches and the lakeside attractions of Champlain in the north; New Hampshire with its White Mountains and thrilling forest drives; Connecticut with its valley, river and boat harbours; Massachusetts with its graceful pasturelands and the gentle hills of the Berkshires where so many rich New Yorkers have second homes. Plus in the east, Boston and Cape Cod, the elegant mansions and yacht harbour of Rhode Island, the smallest state; coastal villages of Maine on a journey north up to Acadia National Park and of course the big apple, the city which never sleeps, New York . All of these demand more than a cursory look, and all, we believe, are given their due in our tours.

musical theme and give you time to explore these fascinating cities in more detail. Cultural history abounds here, from the old "gone with the wind" days with antebellum mansions, cotton plantations and southern belles, to the days of the civil rights movement can be explored and with such a melting pot of cultures, you will be enchanted as much by the friendliness as the `foreignness' of its engaging people.
New England
New England's delightful cluster of picturesque villages with their white clapboard houses and delicately steepled churches really has no parallel anywhere in the world. Especially when you take into account its variety of wonderful foliage - the vivid golds of the birches, poplars and gingkos, the oranges of hickory and mountain ash and the scarlets of maple, red oak and sassafras, among many other varieties. This region offers so many incidental pleasures, marvellous traffic free vistas and villages unspoilt by trampling tourists. No one tour can encompass all that these states have to offer which is why we have established such an exciting portfolio for client choice and for the many who wish to visit the area more than once. Running from Washington in the north to Florida in the south, the East Coast is varied in its cultures, scenery and experiences. Highlights of the region range from Virginia and West Virginia in the north which offers the visitor glorious countryside and the picturesque early settlements of Jamestown and 18th century Williamsburg, sites of the original new world settlements to the classic coastal cities of Charleston and Savannah in South Carolina, whose southern architectural charm and history is not to be missed. Running through each of these coastal states are the Appalachian Mountains, home to the Great Smokey's and the Blue Ridge Mountains, which with their commanding views, are lovely in their spring and autumn colours. Florida is probably best known for its wonderful winter weather, the low humidity presenting a climate akin to a glorious British summer, with a range of attractions, beaches and exciting cities in addition.

Alaska
America's 49th state is an experience like no other, offering you an adventure you will never forget. It is not just about the peace and quiet. It is about the thrill of meeting majestic orca and humpback whales, of feeling the rumble of motion as ice slips into the deep and even of reliving the excitement of the Gold Rush days. Juneau is Alaska's capital and one of America's most beautiful cities. Much of the old town dates back to the 1800's. Skagway grew overnight from one log cabin to a town of 20,000 souls, in the winter of 1897-98. The Gold Rush came and went, leaving a desolate trail of corruption and gun-fighting desperados. The railway followed soon after and you can still ride the White Pass and Yukon Route railway today. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains at the end of Tracy Arm Fjord, Sawyer Glacier is home to some wonderful wildlife. Seabirds, seals, sea lions and porpoises all have their home in the region.
Caribbean
The beautiful islands of the Caribbean have long been popular with visitors, drawn by its abundance of picture postcard beaches, swaying palms and a welcoming atmosphere. But it is a mistake to think that this is all the Caribbean has to offer. Certainly for those looking to spend relaxing days on pure white beaches enjoying the spectacular marine and coral life, the opportunities are endless. The Grenadines are ideal for this, boasting 30 islands and cays surrounded by reefs and crystal clear waters. However, the Caribbean also has a fascinating history, attractive towns and harbours and interesting architecture, all of which can be easily
