This elegant four night cruise on board the deluxe Lord of the Glens incorporates all the highlights of any cruise to the Highlands of Scotland including a transit of the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. Venture from Loch Oich and Loch Lochy to Corpach (Fort William) which lies in the shadow of Ben Nevis. Take the West Highland Line train to Glenfinnan (Viaduct), at Corpach cruise Loch Linnhe, visit Duart Castle and Torosay Gardens before driving to Tobermory. The journey concludes with a cruise along the Sound of Mull to Oban with time to reflect on this luxurious short break of outstanding natural beauty.
ITINERARY - DAY 1 Arrive Glasgow independently (regional flights, rail travel from anywhere in the UK mainland also available). Transfer from Glasgow airport or train station to Fort Augustus and embark the Lord of the Glens. Evening Captains welcome reception whilst cruising stunning Loch Ness. Moor at Fort Augustus overnight. (D) DAY 2 Ascend a flight of six inter-connected locks that runs through the centre of Fort Augustus and cruise various man-made sections of the Caledonian Canal and across Loch Oich and Loch Lochy to Banavie. At Banavie, descend a flight of eight inter-connected locks called Neptunes Staircase which lowers the vessel to Corpach (Fort William). In the afternoon take the West Highland Line train to Glenfinnan and cross the famous viaduct. Later see the Glenfinnan Monument and return to the vessel via Fort William. Moor at Corpach overnight. (B,L,D) DAY 3 After exiting the Caledonian Canal enter Loch Linnhe and later the Sound of Mull to Craignure for the visit to Duart Castle and Torosay Gardens before driving to Tobermory where in the meantime, the vessel has positioned to await our arrival. (B,L,D) DAY 4 Morning free. Sail to Oban in Argyllshire. Evening Captains farewell reception and dinner. DATES AND PRICES Moor at Oban overnight. Cruise the sheltered waters of Loch Ness, Loch Linnhe, the Sound of Mull, The Sound of Sleat, Loch Alsh and Kyle of Lochalsh as you make a complete transit of the idyllic Caledonian Canal from Inverness to Corpach (Fort William). Visit Fort Augustus, Banvie, Tobermory (for Iona), Armadale (Isle of Skye) and Kyle of Lochalsh for Inverewe Gardens. Visits are made to Culloden, Cawdor Castle, Glencoe, Duart Caste, Iona, Clan Donald Centre and Inverewe Gardens on this relaxing journey through majestic glens and mirror-like lochs, steeped in myths and legends of Scotlands historic past.

Transfer from Inverness Airport or train station to Kyle of Lochalsh to embark Lord of the Glens for a seven-night cruise on a full board basis. Evening Captains reception. Moor Kyle of Lochalsh overnight. (D) DAY 2 Visit to Inverewe Gardens. Afternoon sail via Kyle Rhea and the Sound of Sleat to Armadale on the Isle of Skye. Moor Armadale overnight. DAY 3 Morning visit to the Cuillin Mountains and the Clan Donald Centre. Afternoon sail around Ardnamurchan Point and later enter the Sound of Mull to arrive at Tobermory with its gaily painted houses that line the waterfront. Moor Tobermory overnight. (B,L,D) DAY 4 Drive to the south of the Isle of Mull and then cross over to the Isle of Iona for afternoon tea and cakes before returning to the vessel. Moor Tobermory overnight. (B,L,D) DAY 5 Morning sail via the Sound of Mull and Loch Linnhe to Corpach and the entrance to the Caledonian Canal. Ascend Neptunes Staircase, a flight of eight inter-connected locks. Afternoon visit to the hauntingly beautiful Glencoe with its impressive Visitor Centre. Moor Banavie overnight. (B,L,D) DAY 6 Sail in the morning along the Caledonian Canal via Loch Lochy, Laggan Avenue, Loch Oich to Fort Augustus to moor overnight.
