ITINERARY - DAY 1 Depart London Heathrow Airport on a scheduled flight to Lyon. " Direct scheduled flights or Eurostar Alternatively, take the Eurostar and high train journey speed TGV train from St. Pancras or Ebbsfleet " Modern vessel on full board basis (supplements may apply). Transfer to the MS Camargue, MS Mistral or the MS Van Gogh " Outside cabins with picture windows for a four-night cruise. Enjoy a welcome " Comprehensive excursion package available cocktail reception and meet the crew before dinner is served, followed by an evening of entertainment. (D) DAY 2 Cruise along the delightful River Rhône passing Valence, overshadowed by St. Apollinaires cathedral, and Montélimar, renowned for its nougat before passing through the great lock in Bollène. Arrive Avignon for optional sightseeing tour of the Camargue+. Time to stroll round the charming town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer before sailing on to Arles. Optional evening guided tour of the city whose exceptional monuments have been converted into an open-air museum+. (B,L,D) DAY 3 Arrive Avignon. Optional guided tour of the City of Popes surrounded by ramparts and perched on a rock over the river and once a lavish court bustling with artists and scholars+. Later admire the beautiful scenery while cruising gently down the river to Viviers. Evening optional guided walking tour of this listed medieval, Episcopal town+. (B,L,D) DAY 4 Depart Viviers. Optional visit to the Gorges of the Ardeche, Bourg Saint Andréol, crossing the Gras Plateau to reach Vallon Pont dArc+. Cruise along the meandering gorges of the famous Ardeche river offering striking panoramic viewpoints. Return to the ship in Le Pouzin and maybe take the opportunity to taste some of the famous Côtes du Rhône wines+. Evening Gala night. (B,L,D) DAY 5 Morning sail to Vienne for optional guided tour of this Roman city+. Cruise to Lyon. Disembark and transfer to Lyon Airport for your return scheduled flight or train to the UK. (B)
