DAY 12 THREE GORGES DAM · YICHANG This morning your excursion is to the Three Gorges Dam site, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man. This afternoon is spent cruising the Yangtze. BEIJING DAY 13 WUHAN After a morning on the river we arrive in Wuhan the capital of Hubei province. The land is so productive here that there is a Chinese saying `a good harvest in Hunan and Hubei would feed the whole country'. We disembark for a city tour before rejoining the ship. XIAN CHINA WUHAN NANJING SHANGHAI HUANGSHAN DAY 14 HUANGSHAN FENGDU CHONGQING GUILIN We depart the ship early this morning for a full day tour to Mount Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), an area that has greatly influenced traditional Chinese landscape painting and attracted scholars and historical figures. We return to the ship this evening. Note: A visit to Jiuhaushan or Mountain of the Nine Lotuses may be substituted if local conditions do not permit a visit to Huangshan. VISA Chinese Visas are required and will be arranged through our office. It should be noted that once your passport has been lodged with the embassy eight weeks prior to travel we are unable to retrieve it until the visa has been issued. It is therefore important that you do not require your passport during this period. Please refer to the Holiday Information page for further information. DAY 15 NANJING We arrive this morning at Nanjing. A full day tour will show you the highlights of the city that still has remnants of the eight dynasties that established their capitals here. We return to the ship for the Captain's Farewell Dinner as we set sail for Shanghai. DAY 16 SHANGHAI We say farewell to the Victoria Prince as we disembark and join our coach for a city tour of Shanghai. Shanghai really does showcase the `new' China; a city literally expanding by the minute and embracing a modern, fresh an innovative lifestyle. After an included lunch we transfer to the Central Hotel Shanghai, well located within walking distance to the Bund. The afternoon and evening is at leisure. Cruise & TourTM DAY 17 SHANGHAI · BEIJING The Summer Palace Terracotta Warriors, Xi'an After breakfast we check out of our hotel and depart by coach to the city of Suzhou where we visit some of the beautiful classic residential gardens for which it is famed. After lunch, we return to Shanghai. Dinner is provided this evening before we transfer to the airport for our evening flight to Beijing. On arrival we transfer to the Grand View Garden Hotel. DAY 18 BEIJING · LONDON We transfer to the airport for our return Air China flight to London Heathrow. On arrival our staff will greet you and transfer you to Titan transport for your journey home to your own front door. The onboard experience is informal but the service is 5-star and amongst the best to be found on the Yangtze. Chinese and western buffets offer a great choice for breakfast and lunch; afternoon tea is a welcome opportunity to share tales of the day, whilst dinner is served in a single sitting.
