Our final breakfast on board before we disembark and transfer to the Mövenpick Aswan Hotel. Today you may choose to take an optional excursion by air to Abu Simbel; a wonderful experience. The temples were removed stone by stone to higher ground when the Valley of the Nile was flooded on creation of the Aswan High Dam. This excursion must be booked with your holiday. We return to our hotel where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Evening dinner is included.

Today we are transferred to Cairo Airport for your direct scheduled EgyptAir or British Airways flight to London Heathrow. On arrival our staff will greet you and transfer you to Titan Transport for your journey home to your own front door.

After breakfast at our hotel we are transferred to Aswan airport for our flight to Cairo where we have a short transfer to the Hotel Cairo-Heliopolis. Dinner is included this evening at the hotel.

The Radamis II, managed by Mövenpick Nile Cruises, is designed to offer maximum comfort and luxury and is regarded as one of the premier cruise vessels plying the Nile. The vessel is fully air-conditioned and cabins are equipped with their own individual temperature controls, toilet, bathtub, hair-dryer, colour TV and broad panoramic windows. ABU SIMBEL OPTION

We have arranged an optional excursion to visit the wonderfully preserved temples of Abu Simbel. Carved out of the side of a sandstone rock cliff and built by Ramses II between 1300 and 1233 BC, this ancient temple of worship is considered to be one of the greatest engineering feats of all time. Twice yearly, during the equinox, the sun rises in front of the temple and lights up the innermost chamber and, more impressively, the statues including the face of Ramses II. The return flight back to Aswan leaves you with free time to relax or explore the area. This trip to Abu Simbel by air must be booked at the same time as your Egypt holiday and is subject to availability. A minimum number of participants may be required to operate this excursion.
