Italy - La Dolce Vita Reflecting over a glass of wine in an idyllic lakeside setting... gazing over forested valleys at picture-book villages against a mountain backdrop... strolling in ancient arcaded squares crowned with extravagant fountains... dining al fresco on flower-bedecked terraces... wandering among stunning buildings in cities which house much of the world's greatest art, as well as its most fashionable shops... discovering small towns that have retained their appearance and character over many centuries... joining in the most sophisticated lifestyle known to any nation on earth... Lemons, Sorrento All of this is to be found uniquely in one country Italy. Here the holiday mood is a way of life. Titan's Italy does not represent all that this wonderful country has to offer, as that would be impossible, particularly as a visitor's most treasured moments are likely to be the individual and surprising discoveries they make for themselves. It does, we believe, provide the ideal framework for the perfect holiday, whether your interest is in relaxing at one lovely spot, enjoying a two-centre experience or taking one of our celebrated tours that explores sections of the country in such ravishing detail. Art Cities The classic trio of Venice, Florence and Rome are bound to enthral both the first time visitor and the most seasoned of Italian travellers. Every corner, every alley and every piazza displays a sign of the artistic and cultural heritage of this nation, from the fountains to the sculptures and from the frescoes to the palazzi. Our Treasures of Italy holiday provides a taster of Italy and some places can be explored further in many of our other tours, including Italy-Florence, Chianti Country and Elba. Our Opera in Verona holiday, which includes one or two evenings of opera in the grand setting of the Arena of Verona, is a delightful introduction to the north of Italy. We are delighted to offer a two-centre holiday that combines Sorrento and Ischia. The island of Ischia, known for its luxuriant vegetation, pinewood rich coastline indented with bays and creeks and its domeroofed cottages often with outside staircases, is an enchanting spot. While our Italy's Golden Riviera tour, remains the most complete and popular exploration of this region, we are pleased to also have our Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast eight day sojourn in our portfolio of Italian holidays, allowing you time to relax in this charming coastal town. A different perspective of Italy is gained whilst you delve into a relatively unexplored and very traditional area of Italy on our Puglia - The Heel of Italy holiday. With its rugged coastline, fertile plains and Baroque towns such as Lecce, one of the highlights will undoubtedly be the UNESCO world heritage site of Alberobello, with over 1500 of its traditional typical trulli houses dotting the landscape - the circular and conical-roofed white washed houses whose origin are still unknown. Sicily A land of mystery, Sicily still manages to retain the exotic atmosphere associated with the succession of various foreign rulers, that have left their trace on this largest of Mediterranean islands. These influences have served to interweave a rich social fabric that manifests in the friendliness of the Sicilian people and in their architectural heritage. With a visit to Mount Etna, still active and snow-capped most of the year and many archeological sites to take in, there is much to be discovered on our Sicily-Jewel of the Mediterranean holiday. Venice The Golden Riviera and the Heel of Italy The Amalfi coast, known as the Golden Riviera, with its road hugging the cliffside from Sorrento to Amalfi, is simply one of the paradise areas of the world.
