Germany
The re-unification of East and West in 1990 signalled a new and exciting era for Germany as another chapter in its intricate past began. Berlin is one of the most interesting capital cities in Europe, the `Aldstadts' (old cities) of Heidelberg and Koblenz are a delight to explore with their narrow cobbled streets and hidden squares, and the Rhine valley is home to picturepostcard villages and soaring medieval castles surrounded by fertile vineyards.
France
France is a country that demands to be seen and rarely disappoints. Whether you visit the boulevards, galleries, monuments and restaurants of Paris, discover the natural light and landscapes that inspired the likes of Van Gogh and Renoir in Provence, or savour the glamour, sunshine and café life of the Cote d'Azur, there is something to suit all tastes.

Madeira, the largest of a group of islands, which together form a far-flung province of Portugal and has been described as the island of eternal spring. The island's capital, Funchal is a colourful city of parks blooming flowers and the typical Madeiran charm.

Cyprus stands at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa and the third largest island in the Mediterranean and it was on the Paphos shoreline that the mythological Goddess Aphrodite was born. The aura of the Great Goddess of Cyprus is still present in Paphos and all over the `Sweet Land of Cyprus', in the beauty of the landscape, the mildness of the climate and the charm of the people. Cyprus has been said to be an archaeologist's heaven, a photographer's dream and a bird watcher's paradise.
