8 DAYS FROM £925 A land rich in natural and architectural beauty, still rejoicing in the cultural inheritance of ancient Rome and Arabia, and vibrant with the ethnic mix of Moors and Christians, Andalucia uniquely combines the old world with modern Mediterranean sophistication. Bordered also by the Atlantic and framed in the north and southeast by noble mountain ranges, it offers the most delightful contrasts - from fertile valleys and farmland to the Sierra Nevada, snow-capped the year round. Its great cities are legendary - as is its hospitality. Ronda Plaza de Espana - Seville Ronda · Jerez · Seville Cordoba · Ubeda · Baeza · Granada This holiday includes 7 breakfasts and 4 evening meals Spain DAY 1 LONDON · MALAGA · RONDA DAY 2 RONDA · JEREZ We begin with Titan's VIP Home Departure ServiceTM to London Heathrow or London Gatwick Airport and our scheduled British Airways flight, operated by the independent carrier GB Airways, direct to Malaga. On arrival our coach transfers us to Ronda, one of the most ancient cities in Spain. Built by the British with 19th century confidence, our hotel, the Reina Victoria, has panoramic views over the valley below. Cathedral of Seville The 500 ft gorge, El Tajo, separates the ancient town from the modern quarters. The magnificent Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) dramatically spans this gaping ravine. This morning we tour on foot this delightful hilltown whose architecture emphasises its ancient history. Birthplace of Vicente Espinel, who added the 5th string to the flamenco guitar, it attracts a variety of artists and personalities. This too is the birthplace of many matadors and where the first bullring was built in 1785. Today we leave this ancient hill-top town and travel through some spectacular rolling countryside to Jerez, an old town with its roots going back to the Phoenicians. The famed Jerez vineyards unfold to our view as we approach the town. Our hotel, the Sherry Park, where we will have dinner tonight, is ideally located in its own delightful grounds. DAY 3 JEREZ · SEVILLE Granada Jerez's wealth has been derived from its locally produced sherry and today you will have a chance to visit a `bodega'. The town is equally famous for its equestrian activities and breeds fine examples of Arabian and Andalucian horses. It is also the birthplace of many Flamenco singers and has charming small squares such as the Plaza de la Asuncion. From here we travel to the very heart and capital of Andalucia, Seville, a city of grace, beauty and spirit that has inspired more operas than any other city and attracted many writers and painters. Fictional characters created in Seville include Carmen, Rossini's celebrated Barber and Don Juan. The Tryp Macarena is our hotel for the next two nights and where we will have dinner tonight. DAY 4 SEVILLE 312 Seville was successful under the Romans, Visigoths and the Moors and owes much of its fame and fortune to the River Guadalquivir. The city has many spectacular sights and this morning we begin our tour passing by the Alcazar, a former Arabic palace and fortress, and now the official residence of the Spanish Royal family. We continue to the cathedral, the third largest in the world and burial place of Columbus,
