As another day unfolds we walk to Atocha station to board the train to take the one hour journey through the countryside to the royal town of Aranjuez. On alighting, we visit the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, the autumn retreat for the Spanish royal family, beautifully situated on the rivers Tajo and Jarama and built by the same architects who designed Palacio Real at El Escorial. We visit the Jardin de la Isla and its many fountains and meander along the riverside walk in the Jardin del Principe. Our holiday draws to a close as we transfer to Madrid Airport and our direct scheduled British Airways flight to London. Arrival at London Gatwick or Heathrow Airport where our staff will greet you and transfer you to Titan transport for your journey home to your own front door.
