Your holiday commences with two nights in picturesque Lucerne, located on the spectacular lake and so typically Swiss. The town is a joy to explore. Your floating hotel, River Ambassador, then takes you from Switzerland to Germany until finally reaching the Netherlands, all the while bringing you a mix of cosmopolitan towns, historic monuments and captivating scenery.

DAY 1 LONDON · ZURICH · LUCERNE
in 1820 and marvel at the 15th century buildings with their painted façades. This afternoon you are free to enjoy the wonderful lakeside setting of the town where you will find plenty of pavement cafés and cosy bars serving excellent local fare. For dinner this evening you are spoilt for choice with many restaurants nearby.

We begin with Titan's VIP Home Departure ServiceTM to London Heathrow or Gatwick Airport and your scheduled British Airways flight to Zurich. On arrival we transfer to your hotel, the Wilden Mann hotel or similar, centrally located in Lucerne. Dinner this evening at your hotel.

Straddling the River Ruess on the western shores on Lake Lucerne, this charming town is a delight to explore on foot and our included guided walking tour will take you through its quiet lanes, attractive squares and over picturesque bridges. You will also see the poignant Lion Monument carved out of natural rock

We check out of the hotel this morning for our included guided excursion to Mount Rigi. After a pleasant cruise across the lake to Vitznau we board the famous mountain train to the summit of Mount Rigi. Here you can enjoy the wonderful views and free time for lunch before descending on the cable car to Weggis where our coach awaits. After a brief stop to collect our luggage in Lucerne we continue to Basel where you will be welcomed aboard our ship, River Ambassador.
DAY 4
BREISACH · STRASBOURG
From the medieval town of Breisach your included excursion takes you across the Rhine and towards the Alsatian wine route that hugs the foothills of the Vosges Mountains. The scenic route winds through charming villages and lush vineyards, and you can stretch your legs with stops in Colmar and the picturesque village of Riquewihr. We sail later today and arrive into Strasbourg where we enjoy the Captain's Welcome Dinner this evening.

STRASBOURG · SPEYER
An included city tour enables you to discover more about the capital of Alsace and a city of great importance both historically and today as the home of the Council of Europe. Sights include the Cathedral Notre Dame de Strasbourg, an outstanding example of Gothic architecture and the city's most significant landmark, whilst a canal cruise provides the perfect way to view the covered bridges and watchtowers. Sail to Speyer.

From here you may wish to join a supplementary excursion to Heidelberg, the historic university town and home to one of the most magnificent castles in Germany. Housed in the castle is the world's largest wine barrel, and the views from the terraces over the charming Old Town and Neckar River are breathtaking. You can explore the Old Town's cobbled streets and buildings, many unaffected by bombing from World War II. Alternatively you may choose an included walking tour of Speyer to view the basilica and Europe's largest Romanesque cathedral. Sail to Rüdesheim overnight.
