RÜDESHEIM
Rüdesheim is truly one of the prettiest towns in the Rhine valley and is famed for its winemaking tradition dating back to Carolingian times. This afternoon you can enjoy time to stroll along the `Drosselgasse' with its many appealing shops and cafes and enjoy the views across the river to the banked vineyards opposite. In the afternoon join an included trip to the picture postcard Castle Vollrads to sample some of the excellent Rheingau Reislings. We overnight here and you may opt for a supplementary meal ashore or relax onboard and take a pleasant evening stroll.

This morning you can experience some of the most beautiful scenery to be found on the Rhine as we sail through the Rhine Valley. Along this section of the river historical monuments have been wonderfully preserved and you will enjoy views of vine filled slopes, numerous castles strung out along the hills and the famous Lorelei Rock. We arrive in the 2,000-year-old city of Koblenz located at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers where you can visit the Ehrenbreitstein, Europe's oldest fortress or take a guided walk through its narrow streets and romantic squares and fountains. We remain here overnight.

Today we visit the cathedral city of Cologne where your guided city walking tour will introduce you to this attractive city, home to a number of medieval monuments, churches, and the highlight of the tour, the symbolic Gothic cathedral. A masterpiece of the high-Gothic period, it is one of the largest cathedrals in Europe and attained even greater status after the Second World War, as it remained standing proudly amid the ruins of the city centre. This evening you sit down to the Captain's Farwell Dinner as we sail for the Netherlands.

RIVER AMBASSADOR
The comfortable River Ambassador was completely refurbished in 2006 and offers an excellent standard of accommodation and a range of amenities to compliment the destinations you visit. Tasty breakfasts, lunches and sumptuous dinners are served every day in the restaurant, and the Lounge and Bar is an ideal spot for an after dinner drink or to enjoy entertainment from local musicians or dancers. All cabins are outside and can be arranged with twin or double beds, with shower and toilet, air conditioning and TV.
