General Information
Hiring a motorhome is as easy as hiring a car, but if you have a question that isn't covered, simply give us a call. Depots: Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Johannesburg, Victoria Falls, Maun and Windhoek. Driver Qualifications: All drivers must be 21 years or older and in possession of either a British or international drivers licence. Touring Guides & Mobile Phone: On collection, you will receive a thorough introduction to your Maui motorhome to familiarise you with every aspect of its operation. Extensive travel information, including comprehensive maps and camping ground information is also supplied. We can also arrange mobile phone rental, please ask for details. Overnight Parking: There are plenty of good campgrounds and resorts across Southern Africa. Free camping is illegal and not recommended. Rental Period: Is calculated on a per calendar day, i.e. the day of pick up is counted as day one regardless of collection time while the day of return is counted as the final day. Should the hire cross over two price bands, then the price should be split over the applicable period. Minimum rental period in South Africa and Namibia is five days, and ten days in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Collection: Office hours are Mon to Fri 08.00-16.30. Collections outside these hours by arrangement only. Over-the-border Rentals: Rescrictions apply on oneway rentals, details on request. Fuel: This may only be purchased with cash. Repairs: Up to R1,000 may be effected without authorisation and will be reimbursed upon presentation of receipts. When over R1,000, authorisation is required before proceeding.

Not Included in Your Hire
· Excess Reduction Fees: Prices include a standard excess. In the event of any damage to the vehicle or third party, the hirer will be liable for the first R30,000. The hirer will also be fully liable for tyre damage, replacement or repair of windscreen and/or radio. This excess can be reduced by one of the following insurance options: Super Cover: R160 per day, excess is reduced to R15,000. Exclusive Cover: R250 per day, excess is reduced to R5,000. An imprint of your credit card, for the relevant excess amount, will be taken and authorised by the bank. This amount is fully refundable should no damage occur to the vehicle. · Overnight Parking: Campground fees are not included in the cost of your vehicle. · One-way Rentals: Within South Africa a fee of R3,000 is charged, while outside South Africa the fee varies between R3,500 and R6,000. · Fine Handling: Administration cost plus speeding fines and/or parking tickets. Important: All insurances become null and void if the following apply: The terms of the rental agreement are breached. Damage to the vehicle is caused by careless, wilful or reckless driving. Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Driving on restricted roads or into prohibited areas. Damage is caused by salt-water or water submersion.
