7 Days Nairobi to Nairobi
is built into the surrounding hillside and Keekorok was the first lodge built in the Mara and is sited in the exact path of the annual migration. Following a siesta, there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets. (BLD) Standard: Mara Sopa Lodge Superior: Keekorok Day 3: Masai Mara Early morning and afternoon game drives to witness the full array of the Mara's charms. (BLD) Day 4: Masai Mara Lake Nakuru Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast, you'll head north to Lake Nakuru with a picnic lunch. You will travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Nakuru for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is often awash with pink flamingos that line the shores. (BLD) Standard & Superior: Lake Nakuru Lodge Days 5 & 6: Lake Nakuru Amboseli After breakfast you will depart with a picnic lunch, leaving the Rift Valley behind, heading south east towards Amboseli. On arrival at Amboseli you will enjoy an afternoon game drive before arriving at the lodge by sunset. Both lodges have magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Ol Tukai Lodge, in particular, has real African flavour. Departures: Sunday Day 1: Nairobi Upon arrival, you are transferred to your Nairobi hotel. Overnight: InterContinental Hotel Day 2: Nairobi - Samburu Game Reserve After breakfast depart for Samburu Game Resesrve. Heading north, the journey will take you through beautifully fertile and mountainous countryside and after Nanyuki, the town straddling the equator, you will continue north to the Samburu Sopa Lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge at sunset. (BLD) Overnight: Samburu Sopa Lodge Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve Rise early for your morning game drive and experience the region's excellent wildlife. The area is renowned for its lion, leopard and elephant. After lunch, spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or on the terrace overlooking the magnificent river. Later, you will depart on the afternoon game drive for some more wonderful wildlife sightings before enjoying the evening's entertainment. (BLD) Overnight: Samburu Sopa Lodge Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve - Mount Kenya Leave after breakfast for the Aberdare Mountains arriving at the lodge for lunch. The cosy Serena Mountain Lodge is hidden away on the slopes of Mount Kenya in a forest glade with a waterhole that attracts a host of wildlife. (BLD) Overnight: Serena Mountain Lodge Day 5: Mount Kenya Lake Nakuru An early morning start takes you to Nyahururu to see the impressive Thompson's Falls. Then head south to the vision of brilliant pink created by the thousands of flamingos that line the shores of Lake Nakuru. After lunch at the Lake Nakuru Lodge, with its commanding views, there is an afternoon game drive. (BLD) Overnight: Lake Nakuru Lodge Day 6: Lake Nakuru Masai Mara After breakfast, drive to the great Masai Mara arriving at the Mara Simba Lodge in time for lunch and check-in for a relaxing two-night stay. The afternoon game drive will introduce you to the majesty of the Masai Mara. The sheer scale of this game reserve is breathtaking. The Mara Simba Lodge extends along the beautiful Talek River and is designed to complement its natural setting. (BLD) Overnight: Mara Simba Lodge Day 7: Masai Mara Today includes early morning and evening game drives to witness more of this enchanting destination and its fascinating and varied wildlife.
