5 Days Kilimanjaro to Mombasa
Shetani lava flow and into neighbouring Tsavo. After stopping for lunch at Kilaguni Lodge there will be a game drive with a visit to Mzima Springs which has an underwater viewing hole. The game drive will end as you arrive at your lodge at sunset. Saltlick Lodge is located in the heart of a private wildlife sanctuary. All rooms are built in two-storey blocks from a central pod and linked together by elevated platforms. The restaurant and bar overlook a salt lick and waterhole. There is also an underground hide for closer encounters. (BLD) Overnight: Saltlick Lodge Day 4: Taita Hills - Tsavo East After breakfast enjoy an early morning game drive in the Taita Hills Game Sanctuary, returning to the lodge for lunch before moving on to Tsavo East National Park. The safari will take you through a wilderness with large herds of elephant and buffalo. The incredible diversity of animal life, bird life and plant life is a feature of this park. You will arrive at your lodge just before sunset. Voi Safari Lodge is perched on top of a cliff-faced hill with views across the plains of Tsavo East. (BLD) Overnight: Voi Safari Lodge Day 5: Tsavo East - Mombasa Enjoy your last game drive before returning to the lodge for lunch, then continue your journey down to Mombasa to arrive at your resort by late afternoon. Departures: Wednesday & Friday Day 1: Nairobi This morning you will be met and transferred from the airport to the Nairobi InterContinental, a 10-minute walk from the centre. Overnight: InterContinental Hotel Day 2: Nairobi - Amboseli After an early breakfast you will depart for Amboseli, arriving at Ol Tukai Lodge in time for lunch. The lodge lies at the foot of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro in the heart of Amboseli National Park. The cottage-style accommodation is spaciously laid out and each is designed to give an open atmosphere blended with traditional African flavours. An evening game drive will allow you to see in full the natural beauty of Amboseli. 8 Days Nairobi to Nairobi
If you wish to take in the highlights of Kenya, but with the luxury of flying instead of going by road, this tour is for you. Over the next eight days, you will be whisked around by light aircraft to some of Kenya's finest game reserves and national parks. Departures: Wednesday & Sunday Day 1: Arrive Nairobi On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure, or choose to do one of the fabulous sightseeing tours on page 94. Overnight: Nairobi Serena Hotel Day 2: Nairobi - Amboseli Following an early breakfast you will be transferred to Nairobi Wilson Airport for your flight to Amboseli (approximately 45 minutes). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the lodge in time for lunch. Lying in the shadow of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena is surrounded by a thick forest of acacia trees and exquisite gardens. After an afternoon siesta, there is a late afternoon game drive that returns to the lodge as the sun sets. (BLD) Overnight: Amboseli Serena Lodge Day 3: Amboseli Today you will embark on two more game drives around this fabulous national park. (BLD) Day 4: Amboseli - Samburu After breakfast, you'll be transferred back to the airport for an early morning flight to Nairobi (approximately 45 minutes) to connect with a flight to Samburu National Reserve (approximately 1hr 20 minutes). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your camp. Following lunch, relax at the lodge before your game drive. (BLD) Overnight: Samburu Serena Lodge Day 5: Samburu Enjoy morning and evening game drives in Samburu, where you will find unique vistas of rounded, rugged hills and undulating plains. Game viewing and visibility is excellent; Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, elephant, oryx, Somali Ostrich, hippo, crocodile, gerenuk, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena can all be found here. Back at the lodge, indulge in a massage or relax by the pool. (BLD) Day 6: Samburu Masai Mara After an early morning game drive you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara (approximately 1hr and 45 minutes). On arrival enjoy lunch and a siesta at your lodge before embarking on a game drive. (BLD) Overnight: Mara Serena Lodge Day 7: Masai Mara Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the world's most famous game reserve. The Mara has been called the Kingdom of Lions and these regal and powerful hunters dominate these grasslands. Cheetah are also a common sight in the Mara, as are hyena and smaller predators such as jackals. (BLD) Day 8: Masai Mara Nairobi Following an early morning activity and breakfast, you will catch a flight to Nairobi (approximately 1 hr) and be transferred to the international airport, or Nairobi city centre for your onward arrangements.
