Kenya
Sitting across the equator, Kenya is the epitome of the African adventure. The country offers a magical mix of incredible scenery, impressive wildlife and a rich tribal culture, with over 43 tribes, including the famously elegant Masai people. From the flamingo-filled lakes of the Rift Valley to the wide expanses of the Masai Mara it is easy to fall in love with Kenya. Its coast is the perfect escape from everyday life with long sweeping beaches, fringed by palms and bathed by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. There are few places that can offer the combination of wildlife and beach so effortlessly, and with so many famous films, and so often the subject of superb wildlife documentaries, Kenya is synonymous with the great African safari.

· Availability is extremely tight over migration period (JulAug). Book early to avoid disappointment! · In addition to big game viewing, bird watching opportunities in this part of the world are fabulous. East Africa has one-third of the world's bird species. · Due to the poor road conditions on some of Kenya's roads, please note a journey of 275km can sometimes take up to 6 hours, especially over rainy season. · Tipping is a way of life in Africa and clients need to budget for this (similar to a cruise). The recommended amount for the driver/guide is USD$3.00-$5.00 per person per day. · It is advisable not to drink tap water in Kenya, and all hotels/lodges will provide a bottle of water per person, per day in your room.
