The 8 Day Highlights of Namibia travels from the dunes of the Namib to the quaint seaside town of Swakopmund, you then journey north to the magnificent Etosha National Park. This small, personalised group tour (maximum nine guests) is a must for wildlife, desert and dune enthusiasts.

Day 1: Windhoek - Sossusvlei This morning you will be collected from your Windhoek accommodation. You will then experience the everchanging landscapes, before arriving at the Sossusvlei Lodge, your accommodation for the next two nights. Relax for the rest of the afternoon. (D) Overnight: Sossusvlei Lodge Day 2: Sossusvlei Today you are taken to spectacular Sossusvlei, a clay pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Explore the impressive and dramatic gorges of the Sesriem Canyon, with its rock pools fed by the Tsauchab River, the same river that feeds Sossusvlei during the rainy season. (BD) Day 3: Sossusvlei - Swakopmund After breakfast your destination today is the coastal town of Swakopmund, where you will enjoy a two-night stay. The route passes through the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons and what are known as the `Gramadoelas' (Bad Lands). Visit the vast gravel plains of the Namib and Namibia's most celebrated plant, the Welwitschia Mirabilis, one of the hardiest and most ancient species in the world. (B) Overnight: The Stiltz
Day 4: Swakopmund Today is at leisure to explore the town of Swakopmund. There are numerous guided and adventure activities on offer in Swakopmund including amongst others dolphin cruises, scenic flights, quad biking, dune boarding and desert explorations. (B) Days 5 & 6: Swakopmund - Etosha National Park Today you travel past the Spitzkoppe to the edge of Damaraland. Here, you will visit one of Namibia's only wine farms and have the opportunity to taste different wines that are on offer in a desert country. Later, depart for Etosha National Park, one of Africa's most beautiful and diverse game reserves. (BD) Overnight: Eagle Tented Camp Day 7: Etosha National Park - Okahandja You return south through Outjo and Otjiwarongo to the town of Okahandja. The Kavango woodcarvers ply their trade at a large open-air craft market on the outskirts of town, one of the best places to purchase woodcarvings. Day 1: Windhoek - Etosha National Park Leaving Windhoek behind, you will head north for Etosha National Park. The following two days are devoted purely to the abundant wildlife found here, which surrounds a parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan. Overnight: Overnight: Mokuti Lodge or Etosha Rest Camp
Day 2: Etosha National Park Etosha National Park is home to four of the Big 5; elephant, lion, leopard and rhino, and its waterholes support a rich diversity of mammals and birds. Today you will enjoy a full day game drive inside this magnificent park. (B) Day 3: Kavango Region After breakfast, continue your tour via the mining town of Tsumeb and the `Maize Triangle' to Rundu, where your lodge lies along the lush banks of the Okavango River. Enroute to Rundu you will stop in Grootfontein to visit a small quaint museum that offers a unique insight into the cultural, historical and agricultural history of Namibia. (BD) Overnight: Hakusembe Lodge Day 4: Caprivi Region Your journey takes you along the Kavango River to Popa Falls, where you will stop for a scenic walk, before travelling through the Caprivi Game Park. This area is renowned for its rich wildlife and abundant bird species. Check-in for a two-night stay at your lodge, which is situated near the Mudumu National Park, a riverine environment dominated by forests and extensive grass plains. (B) Overnight: Namushasha Lodge Day 5: Caprivi Region Your lodge and its surroundings are home to a vast variety of wildlife, including lion, roan, sable, elephant, buffalo and prolific birdlife. Visit a traditional village, where you will experience the daily life of the people who live here. Exciting morning or late afternoon game drives and cruises are available (optional and payable locally). (B)

Day 6: Botswana Travelling along the Caprivi Strip, you will enter Katima Mulilo, situated along the Zambezi River that forms a natural boundary to Zambia. Driving along stretches of huge Baobab Trees, you enter Botswana and continue via the Chobe National Park, renowned for the highest elephant population on earth, to Kasane, where your tour ends. (B)
