Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha Your journey starts from Namibia's Eros airport, where you will board your light aircraft bound for Etosha National Park, where you will stay for the next two nights. At your lodge enjoy African cuisine under the night sky, lit only by stars and a roaring leadwood fire. (D) Overnight: Onguma Lodge Day 2: Etosha National Park A full day of game viewing awaits you! You will depart after breakfast in your open gameviewing vehicle for a drive through Africa's most diverse and fascinating nature reserves. You may even come across four of the 'Big 5', and the endangered cheetah! (BLD) Days 3 & 4: Damaraland After breakfast you will fly into Damaraland and the Mowani Mountain Camp, situated in the Twyfelfontein Conservancy. `Miwani' means `Place of God', a description that aptly lives up to its name; this is where you will find peace and tranquillity. Lunch is followed by a siesta and an afternoon excursion to the ancient Bushman rock engravings at Twyfelfontein. The following day can be spent exploring the surrounds, or join a drive down into the riverbeds in search of the elusive desert elephant. (BLD) Overnight: Mowani Mountain Camp Damaraland Swakopmund Windhoek Namib Naukluft Park Namib Rand Nature Reserve Day 5: Swakopmund & Namib Rand Nature Reserve This morning, fly over the awe-inspiring Damaraland to Swakopmund, Namibia's most popular coastal destination. This tranquil town, wedged between the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib Desert, offers a wide range of activities including quad biking, sand boarding, marine cruises and desert tours to mention but a few (optional and payable locally, time permitting). In the afternoon you will fly via scenic routes to the Namib Rand Nature Reserve, situated in one of the most serene environments of the Namib Desert, and check-in for a three-night stay. (BLD) Overnight: Wolwedans Dune Lodge Days 6 & 7: Namib Rand Nature Reserve Explore the Namib Rand Reserve on a day safari. Enjoy the unique desert landscape by Land Rover through the dunes, endless grassy plains and mystical mountain formations. See how the variety of habitants, including Gemsbok and Mountain Zebra, survive in this harsh desert climate. On day 7, you may choose to view this awe-inspiring, soulful and liberating environment from a hot-air balloon, or take part in the many additional activities on offer (optional and payable locally). In the evenings, experience the sense of peace and tranquillity of this remote area, under the magnificent blanket of stars. (BLD) Day 8: Namib Rand Nature Reserve - Windhoek After a leisurely breakfast, board your aircraft for the final flight back to Windhoek.
