Departures: Monthly (twice monthly Jul-Sep) Days 1 & 2: Cape Town - Lamberts Bay For those with a love of nature and a sense of adventure, this tour will not disappoint! Namibia boasts some breathtaking scenery including the world's highest sand dunes, mysterious rock formations and deep canyons. Blend this with an array of adventure possibilities, and you have the recipe for an unforgettable trip. This tour starts in stunning Cape Town before moving on up onto the West Coast towards Namaqualand. At Clanwilliam head towards the coast and the picturesque town of Lamberts Bay where you'll have a chance to visit Bird Island. Day 3: Gariep River This morning head into a more arid region and enter Namibia by way of a stop at the Gariep River. Here you can enjoy some swimming and relaxation at this tranquil spot.
Day 4: Fish River Canyon The world's second-largest canyon awaits today, as you journey to the Fish River Canyon. Marvel at the views and enjoy a spectacular end to the day by watching the sun dip below the canyon rim. Days 5 & 6: Namib Desert Start the long trail towards Sossusvlei (a clay pan, enclosed by the world's largest sand dunes), passing by towns such as Bethanien and Helmeringhausen. On your second day here, enjoy a guided walk through the undulating sea of dunes and experience the lonely exhilaration of the desert. Days 7 & 8: Swakopmund Travel up through the mountain passes towards Swakopmund, passing Walvis Bay, the town that hosts the only deep-sea harbour on the Namibian coastline. A quaint seaside town at the southern end of the infamous Skeleton
Coast, Swakopmund is also a base for sea-kayaking, sand boarding and coastal fishing. Days 9-11: Damaraland - Etosha National Park Make your way towards Khorixas in the centre of Damaraland, stopping at Cape Cross and Twyfelfontein along the way. In Etosha National Park, a wealth of wildlife beckons. Time here will be spent heading east through the park on game drives, spotting the big game that congregate at the numerous waterholes and making the most of your last days in the wild. Day 12: Etosha National Park - Windhoek Roll on into the Namibian capital of Windhoek this morning and have the afternoon to enjoy the city, go shopping, or simply relax at your hotel. Day 13: Depart Windhoek Time to bid your tour farewell! Will you head to the airport, extend your stay in Windhoek, or continue your journey through this fascinating continent?
