Day 6: Kruger National Park An early morning opportunity to experience a `close encounter' with the wild. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and then relax during the heat of the day. In the late afternoon, enjoy a further game drive, then return to the lodge to savour their culinary delights. (BLD) Day 7: Kruger National Park Johannesburg Today, depart for Kruger/Hoedspruit Airport for your flight to Johannesburg International Airport. On arrival, you will be transferred to the northern suburb of Sandton for an overnight stay. Day tours can easily be arranged, or just enjoy the fantastic shopping and excellent restaurants that Johannesburg is known for. Please see page 63 for full descriptions of the hotels. (B) Standard: Garden Court Sandton City Superior: Protea Hotel Balalaika Deluxe: The Westcliff (Luxury Room) Day 8: Johannesburg Livingstone This morning, you will be transferred to Johannesburg Airport for your flight to Livingstone in Zambia. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a twonight stay. There are few superlatives that have not already been applied to this, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, as in many ways it defies description. In the late afternoon, you will be transferred to the riverbank for the Sundowner Cruise up the mighty Zambezi River. Step aboard for a lazy, tranquil journey above the falls where you can watch the splendid African sunset. Watch for hippo and colourful birdlife en-route as you sip your sundowners. (B) Standard & Superior: Zambezi Sun Deluxe: Royal Livingstone Day 9: Victoria Falls After breakfast, you will be transferred to the entrance of the magnificent Victoria Falls from the Zambian side. Victoria Falls is the largest, probably the most beautiful and certainly the most majestic waterfall in the world. A guided tour of one of nature's supreme masterpieces will be undertaken, and after there will be time to look at the craft market which is found here too. The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore all the other exciting activities around the Victoria Falls. (B) Day 10: Victoria Falls Chobe National Park, Botswana After breakfast, you will be transferred by road across the border to Chobe, Botswana, and on to the lodge of your choice, clearing customs and immigration en-route. Just over 100km from Victoria Falls, Chobe is best known for its abundant elephant. With a fascinating variety of wildlife, ranging from water animals such as hippo, crocodile and otter, to dry land species like giraffe, zebra, leopard, lion

and hyena, the gameviewing opportunities are outstanding. This afternoon, join an exciting game drive or a sunset cruise by riverboat. Please see page 75 for full descriptions of the lodges in Chobe. (BLD) Standard: Muchenje Safari Lodge Superior: Mowana Safari Lodge Deluxe: Chobe Chilwero Day 11: Chobe National Park A day of superb gameviewing by open safari vehicle see Chobe's vast herds of elephant and buffalo. Later, return to your chosen lodge and enjoy a sumptuous dinner under the African night sky. (BLD) Day 12: Chobe National Park Livingstone Last chance to enjoy some early morning gameviewing. Following breakfast, you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport. Please note your scheduled transfer departs at approximately 10.30hrs. Should you require a transfer at any other time, a private one may be necessary and additional costs will apply. (B)
