10 Days Maun to Victoria Falls

From Maun to Victoria Falls you will travel in a small group in specially modified 4x4 safari vehicles accompanied by an expert guide who will lead every gameviewing activity. Departures: Regular weekly departures Day 1: Maun Okavango Delta A transfer by light aircraft from Maun will take you into the heart of the Okavango Delta where your safari adventure will begin. Get ready to explore the crystal-clear channels, islands and waterways by mekoro (dug-out canoe). Your two nights are spent in a private concession with a complement of camp staff to cater for you.(D) Overnight: Exclusive Campsite, Okavango Day 2: Okavango Delta Today's activities include boating into remote papyrusfringed lagoons, exploring the Okavango and gameviewing walks on the islands. Your guide's knowledge will add immeasurably to your enjoyment and understanding of this unique wilderness area, rich in flora and fauna and world renowned as a paradise for birdwatchers.(BLD) Day 3: Okavango Delta Moremi Wildlife Reserve After breakfast, depart by light aircraft to Khwai, the north gate region of Moremi Wildlife Reserve. The reserve is
rated as Africa's most beautiful wildlife sanctuary; here you will spend the next two days on extensive and interpretative game drives.(BLD) Overnight: Campsite, Moremi Reserve Day 4: Moremi Wildlife Reserve Wake to the sounds of the wild and set off on another day of discovery. Enjoy elephant and hippo sightings and see a wide variety of birds before settling back at your campsite to enjoy dinner under the stars.(BLD) Day 5: Moremi Wildlife Reserve Chobe Today you will negotiate the sandy tracks of the Magwihkwe Sand Ridge into the Chobe National Park, crossing the pre-historic lakebed of the Mababe Depression to Savute, an area known for large concentrations of wildlife during the dry season.(BLD) Overnight: Campsite, Savute Day 6: Chobe Extensive gameviewing drives are sure to provide you with excellent sightings and photographic opportunities; here
lion and other predator viewings are usually plentiful.(BLD) Day 7: Chobe From Savute, move up to northern Chobe to the Serondela area, for your second two-night stay at the national park. This is the heart of elephant country and you can spend hours watching huge herds of these magnificent yet graceful creatures in and around the waters of the Chobe River.(BLD) Overnight: Campsite, Serondela Day 8: Chobe Another fantastic day awaits; northern Chobe is renowned for its large variety of bird and animal life, stunning scenery and the most magnificent sunsets, so more surprises are always in store! Make sure you have your cameras at the ready for any chance wildlife encounters.(BLD) Day 9: Chobe - Victoria Falls Today a short drive from Chobe across the border to Zimbabwe takes you to Victoria Falls, known by locals as Mosi-Oa-Tunya' (The Smoke that Thunders). The day is free for you to pursue the various optional excursions available at Victoria Falls or to simply enjoy the entertainment and facilities at Matetsi Water Lodge.(BLD) Overnight: Matetsi Water Lodge Day 10: Depart Victoria Falls Today your safari adventure ends. Enjoy breakfast and a dip in the pool before continuing your onward journey.(B)
