Departures: Daily (we recommend avoiding Wednesday departures as the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays) Day 1: Arrive Delhi On arrival into Delhi International Airport you will be met and transferred to your chosen city hotel for an overnight stay. Standard: The Connaught, Delhi Superior: Crowne Plaza Surya, Delhi Day 2: Delhi Agra This morning depart on a city tour taking in the sites of Old Delhi. Visit the magnificent Red Fort, the zenith of Mughal creativity (closed on Monday), the beautiful and impressive mosque of Jama Masjid; the 14th Century ruins of Kotla Firoz Shah with its 3rd Century BC stone Ashoka Pillar and also Raj Ghat; the simple memorial of black marble that marks the place where Mahatma Ghandi was cremated. Later proceed to Agra by car (a journey of approximately
5 hours) for an overnight stay at your chosen hotel. Standard: The Holiday Inn Agra Superior: Jaypee Palace, Agra Day 3: Agra - Delhi Today, visit one of the most iconic buildings in the world, the Taj Mahal. A mausoleum built by a Mughal Emperor for his favourite wife, the Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the beauty of the building and reflecting pool is guaranteed to captivate you. Your tour also includes sightseeing in Agra city taking in the splendid UNESCO listed Agra Fort. This afternoon you will journey by car back to Delhi and your chosen hotel for an overnight stay. Standard: The Connaught, Delhi Superior: Crowne Plaza Surya, Delhi Day 4: Depart Delhi Today, transfer back to Delhi airport to board your onward flight.

Day 1: Arrive Mumbai Arrive today in the vibrant city of Mumbai where you will be met and transferred to your chosen city hotel for a two night stay. The rest of the day is yours to relax or venture out on to Delhi's streets to get your first taste of this frenetic city. Standard: Fariyas Hotel Superior: Taj President Hotel Day 2: Mumbai City Sightseeing After breakfast depart on a tour of this vibrant bustling city. You will visit important cultural sites such as the Jain Temple, Mahatma Gandhi's former residence at Mani Bhavan and the Dhobi Ghat; an open air laundry still popular with residents to this day. You will also visit legacies of the colonial era such as the Prince of Wales Museum, which is one of the oldest in Mumbai and houses an impressive collection of paintings and sculptures,
and the Gateway of India which was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. A visit to the Hanging Gardens to marvel at the panoramas of this sprawling metropolis is your last stop of the morning. Your afternoon is free to enjoy the facilities of your hotel or explore the city further. Day 3: Depart Mumbai This morning board a boat to the fascinating island of Elephanta just outside of Mumbai's harbour, famous for its ancient cave temples that have been carved into the rock. Later, after checking out of your hotel, you will be transferred back to the airport for your onward journey.
Prince of Wales Museum and Elephanta caves are closed on Mondays and the Elephanta caves excursion is subject to weather conditions on the day.
