Departures: Daily (we recommend avoiding Saturday departures as the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays). Day 1: Arrive Delhi You will be met on arrival at Delhi International Airport and transferred to your hotel for a two night stay. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city's bustling streets or wander on its wide tree-lined boulevards to get your first taste of India. Standard: The Connaught, Delhi Superior: Crowne Plaza Delhi Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing Embark on a full day of sightseeing beginning in Old Delhi with a visit to the stunning Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in Asia, and the Raj Ghat, a moving memorial to Mahatma Ghandi. In the afternoon continue your tour around the highlights of New Delhi including the Qutub Minar, an astonishing victory tower built in the early 13th century, the Parliament buildings and the President's residence.(B) Day 3: Delhi Varanasi This morning board your flight to Varanasi, also know as Kashi. This afternoon visit the Buddhist pilgrimage site at Sarnath and tonight explore the bustling markets and observe the rituals on the ghats, the steps leading down to India's holy river, the Ganges.(B) Standard: Hindustan International, Varanasi Superior: Ramada Varanasi Day 4: Varanasi Khajuraho An early morning boat trip along the River Ganges allows you to observe the morning rituals of Buddhists along the Ghats as they make offerings to the first rays of the rising sun. Visit the sacred shrine of Kashi-Vishwanath (also known as the Golden Temple) before departing to the airport for your flight to Khajuraho for your two night stay.(B) Standard: Ramada Khajuraho Superior: Taj Chandela, Khajuraho Day 5: Khajuraho Your day starts with a fascinating guided tour around the Eastern and Western collection of temples that make up

Khajuraho. The exquisitely carved stone temples are famous for the images of the Kama Sutra as well as deities and carvings of everyday life, with 22 temples in total spread over 20 square kilometres this is a truly spectacular sight.(B) Day 6: Khajuraho Agra Journeying to Agra stop en-route at the fabled town of Orcha and visit the temples and palaces which have been standing since the 16th century. Continue to Jhansi and board the express train to Agra where on arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.(B) Standard: Holiday Inn Agra Superior: Jaypee Palace, Agra Day 7: Agra & the Taj Mahal After breakfast the morning is spent exploring Agra including visits to Itmad-Ud-Daulah, the beautiful tomb of Mirza Ghiyat Beg, and the Agra Fort, a hilltop citadel built of red sandstone with fabulous courtyards, fountains and gates. The last stop is the magnificent Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shan Jahan as a mausoleum for his wife, it is now one of the world's most famous landmarks.(B) Day 8: Agra Jaipur This morning, travel to Fatehpur Sikri, built in the late 16th century, this royal city was abandoned after only 14 years. Now beautifully preserved, the city is built predominantly of red sandstone and is one of the best examples of Mughal architecture in India. Continue on to Jaipur, Rajasthan's capital and also known as the Pink City, where you will check in to your hotel.(B)
Standard: Holiday Inn Jaipur Superior: Le Meridien Jaipur Day 9: Jaipur A full day exploring the beautiful city of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace Museum, displaying a fine collection of paintings and costumes, the Jaipur Observatory, the Amber Fort with an elephant ride along the ramparts and the intricately designed red sandstone building of Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of the Winds.(B) Day 10: Jaipur Udaipur Transfer to the airport and board your flight to the lake city of Udaipur where time is spent visiting both the City Palace and the Lake Palace, which appears to float on the waters of Lake Pichola. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy the tranquillity and serenity of the area.(B) Standard: Rajputana Resort, Udaipur Superior:Fateh Prakash, Udaipur Day 11: Udaipur A full day spent at the Jain Temples at Ranakpur to explore the intricately carved marble temples which change from a golden yellow in the morning to a pale blue later in the day. The temples are set in the lush green Aravali Hills on the curve of a deep river. This evening enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Pichola.(B) Day 12: Udaipur - Delhi Transfer to Udaipur airport for your onward flight to Delhi International Airport where your tour ends.(B)
