Departures: Daily (we recommend avoiding Wednesday departures as the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays). Day 1: Arrive Delhi On arrival into Delhi airport transfer to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. Standard: The Connaught, Delhi Superior: The Crown Plaza Delhi Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing Today enjoy a full day tour of Old and New Delhi, starting at the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in Asia and followed by the Raj Ghat, the simple but moving memorial to Mahatma Ghandi. In the afternoon explore New Delhi including the Qutab Minar an astonishing tower built in the 13th century and the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun Gandhi Smriti (closed on Mondays and every other Saturday). Pass the imposing India Gate, the Parliament buildings, Rashtrapati Bhawan and the President's residence.(B) Day 3: Delhi Agra This morning drive to Agra stopping en-route at Akbar's mausoleum at Sikandra to view the sandstone and marble tomb. Arrive in Agra and this afternoon explore the imposing red sandstone hilltop citadel of Agra Fort. Continue on to one of the world's most famous landmarks, the Taj Mahal (close on Fridays), built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century as a mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.(B) Standard: Holiday Inn Agra Superior: Jaypee Palace, Agra Day 4: Agra Jaipur Today leave Agra for Jaipur passing the haunting sight of Akbar's abandoned capital Fatehpur Sikri, also known as the Deserted City. Day 5: Jaipur A morning excursion to the Amber Fort will prove to be one of the highlights of your trip as you ascend to the hill top fortress on elephant back. Continue on to Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds, the Jantar Mantar Obervatory with its imposing 90ft sundial and the City Palace Museum exhibiting a wonderful collection of paintings and costumes.(B) Day 6: Jaipur Jodhpur After breakfast leave the Pink City' for Jodhpur, the heart of the Marwar region. On arrival, check in to your hotel and the rest of the day is free for your own explorations.(B) Standard: Balsamand Lake Palace, Jodhpur Superior: Taj Hari Mahal, Jodhpur Day 7: Jodhpur Start the day with a visit to the fortress of Meherangrah and continue with a walking tour of the Blue City', meandering through the narrow streets and colourful bazaar. In the afternoon enjoy a jeep safari to the Bishnoi tribal villages and witness their traditional way of life as they conserve the stunning natural environment they live in.(B) Day 8: Jodhpur Udaipur Today your journey continues to the City of Lakes Udaipur, stopping en-route at Ranakpur to explore the
