Day 1: Brisbane Lamington National Park (105km/65miles) Depart Brisbane and head off on the Pacific Highway to Beenleigh. From here you will follow the scenic Route 90 which takes you through some truly stunning Queensland countryside on the way to O'Reilly's, tucked away in the rainforest, where you will spend two nights. Overnight: O'Reillys Rainforest Retreat Day 2: Lamington National Park Day at leisure in this beautiful National Park. Hear the calls of native birds as you walk through the treetops 16 metres above the rainforest floor and learn the O'Reilly history. Day 3: Lamington National Park Lockyer Valley (146km/91miles) Leave Lamington National Park and travel north along the Mt Lindesay Highway. Travel on to Peppers Hidden Vale where you will spend the next two nights. Overnight: Peppers Hidden Vale
Day 4: Lockyer Valley Set on a working cattle station amid scenic South East Queensland countryside Peppers Hidden Vale is just the place to try horse riding, clay target shooting or one of the many bush walks. Alternatively pamper yourself with a massage or beauty treatment (own expense). Day 5: Lockyer Valley Fraser Island (402km/250miles) Head off towards Hervey Bay, a five hour drive, and on arrival park your car at the Urangan Mainland Terminal before boarding the ferry to Fraser Island where you spend two nights. Overnight: Kingfisher Bay Resort Day 6: Fraser Island Day at leisure to swim in clear freshwater lakes, walk through towering rainforest or drive along the amazing Seventy Five Mile Beach.
Day 7: Hervey Bay to Brisbane (300km/186miles) Depart Fraser Island and return to Hervey Bay by ferry. On arrival collect your rental car and head inland towards Noosa and the Sunshine Coast before continuing towards Brisbane. Your car is booked until tomorrow and should be dropped off by the same time it was collected on day one to avoid additional charges.
