6 Day Cairns, Reef & Rainforest

A combination of all that is vibrant Cairns, the Reef and the Rainforest. The must do's when visiting the region.
Day 1: Arrive Cairns On arrival in Cairns you will be transferred to your chosen hotel for a two night stay. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to begin exploring this vibrant town, which is one of Australia's leading holiday resorts. Standard: Discovery Resort Cairns Superior: The Rydges Esplanade Day 2: Kuranda All Inclusive This morning you will be collected from your hotel for a full day tour starting with a ride on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Enjoy Kuranda Village with enough time to browse the markets. Then board Skyrail, the world's longest gondala, as you glide just meters above the canopy enabling you to really experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest. On reaching Caravonica Lakes you will be transferred to Tjapukai Cultural Park for a buffet lunch. After lunch there is ample time to explore the Aboriginal Village and watch the famous Tjapukai Dance Troupe. Return to Cairns and get ready for a night on the town or simply relax in your hotel. (L)
Day 3: Great Barrier Reef - Port Douglas Your transfer will take you to Port Douglas Marina where you will board the Wavepiercer catamaran to cruise to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Disembark at Quicksilver's pontoon to view the reef from an underwater observatory, take a trip in a semi-submersible, enjoy lunch and optional snorkelling (all included). On your return you will be transferred to your chosen hotel in Port Douglas where your baggage will be waiting for you. (L) Standard: Bay Villas Resort Superior: Mantra Treetops Resort & Spa Day 4: Port Douglas Day at leisure to explore picturesque Port Douglas. Day 5: Port Douglas - Daintree Rainforest Depart Port Douglas for the Daintree National Park. The rainforest comes alive at night and the accommodation we have chosen is safely tucked in its midst. Day 6: Daintree Rainforest - Cairns After a leisurely breakfast (not included) check out of your chosen hotel and a transfer will return your to Cairns.
