The Daintree & Cape Tribulation
The Daintree Coast and National Park is a region of diverse and beautiful natural treasures, best known for ancient rainforests, sandy beaches and rugged mountains. This unique World Heritage listed region is one of Mother Nature's most outstanding achievements containing the highest number of plant and animal species anywhere in the world. This is where the rainforest meets the reef and Cape Tribulation is the best spot to see the joining point of these two natural wonders. You will find a surprising amount of activities in this region; don't miss out on exploring the rainforest and walk along the beautiful deserted beaches.

· So many outstanding natural attractions and interesting features in such a small area - the Daintree River, the Great Barrier Reef, World Heritage Wet Tropics Rainforest, and long sandy beaches. · One and a half hours drive north of Cairns, cross the Daintree River and travel north through the best of the Daintree's rainforest and coast. It takes about 45 minutes to drive from the Daintree Ferry to Cape Tribulation. · Driving through the Daintree National Park whether on a tour or self-drive, you'll be surrounded by rainforest and have the chance to stop for the best coastal views. If you stay overnight, you'll see the rainforest at night when the wildlife is most active.

Day 1: Cairns Cape Tribulation Leaving Cairns, your guide will give you great insight into the wildlife, rainforest and local culture as you travel along one of the most scenic drives in Australia. You will stop to visit the Rainforest Habitat and experience up close many rare and endangered native animals. Your next stop is Mossman Gorge in the Daintree National Park for a refreshing swim or a walk through the beautiful rainforest. You have the choice of two eco-sensitive retreats at Cape Tribulation that both offer luxury and comfort amidst a breathtaking landscape. Your two-night stay will be either at the Ferntree Rainforest Lodge or the Coconut Beach Rainforest Lodge. Standard: Ferntree Rainforest Lodge (Standard Room) Superior: Coconut Beach Rainforest Lodge (Daintree Retreat or Rainforest Retreat)
Day 2: Cape Tribulation Today is free for you to enjoy the surrounds of the World Heritage rainforest. Perhaps take a trip further into the rainforest to learn more of this fascinating region; you may wish to paddle a sea kayak to a secluded beach, enjoy a leisurely horse ride, spend the day out on the Great Barrier Reef (all additional cost) or simply spend the day lazing in the sun on the stunning beach. (B) Day 3: Cape Tribulation Cairns On your return journey from Cape Tribulation you board a cruise on the scenic Daintree River, searching the banks for crocodiles and other wildlife before returning to your accommodation in Cairns via the tropical township of Port Douglas.
