Cruising with Captain Cook Cruises
Captain Cook Cruises' ship, MV Reef Endeavour, accommodates around 150 guests and offers a choice of either 3, 4 or 7-night cruises from Cairns. The 4-night cruise ventures northward to historic Cooktown and Lizard Island, while the 3-night cruise journeys south. Both cruises highlight the extraordinary features of the reef.

3 Night Reef Endeavour Southbound
Departs: Cairns on Fri at 2.00pm Disembark: Cairns on Mon at 8.00am. Day 1: Cairns Green or Fitzroy Island Depart Cairns and settle in to your cabin. There are 75 rooms on board; the cabins have portholes, while all the staterooms open to the outside promenade. Travel south to Green or Fitzroy Island. Here the island's lush, tropical rainforests are a haven for over 35 species of birds. Escorted walks will also reveal beautiful ferns and native orchids. Day 2: Green or Fitzroy Island Hedley Reef A full day to snorkel, dive and explore the wonders of the sea. Discover a kaleidoscope of formations, including staghorn, brain, boulder and fan corals. Departs: Cairns on Mon at 2.00pm Disembark: Cairns on Fri at 8.00am. Day 1: Cairns Green or Fitzroy Island Reef Endeavour sets sail from Cairns. Relax and be carried away on your Barrier Reef adventure. Experience Green or Fitzroy Island's tropical rainforest on an escorted walk. Tonight enjoy the entertainment and activities in one of the two bars or two lounges. Day 2: Cooktown & Two Isles Visit the township carved out of the Cape York wilderness where Captain Cook sought refuge to repair the first Endeavour. Experience Two Isles, an uninhabited coral cay so tiny you can circumnavigate its shell strewn beach in under an hour, and where the only sounds are those of the local bird life and the waves on the reef. Day 3: Lizard Island Lizard Island is the jewel of the reef with blue lagoons, long white sandy beaches, panoramic vistas and sensational sunrises.
