Days 9-10: Coffs Harbour - Byron Bay (254km/159miles) Head off to Byron Bay with its fabulous beaches and vibrant surf culture. Over the years Byron has attracted an eclectic collection of charters and continues to be a draw for travellers from across the globe. Spend your days on the beach, swimming, walking and enjoying the many cafés and bars. Even if you are not a surfer you cannot fail to be impressed by the skill of those riding the big waves a great sport for spectators and participants alike. Brisbane Queensland Byron Bay New South Wales Coffs Harbour Maitland Sydney Day 11-12: Byron Bay - Brisbane (177km/110miles) Travel north to the lovely city of Brisbane. Not only gateway to all manner of fun and adventures in Southern Queensland but also a great city destination in its own right. Blessed with a benign climate and a host of wonderful gardens and parklands it's a great place to get to know. From here you might like to head off to the Gold or Sunshine Coast or perhaps continue on a longer journey to Cairns and Tropical North Queensland.
