Perhaps take an optional sightseeing tour to the Hunter Valley, or visit the Blue Mountains (own expense). (B) Day 12: Melbourne, Tramcar Dinner. Board your flight to Melbourne (airfare not included) and take in the city sights upon arrival. Explore Queen Victoria Market, tour past Parliament House and stroll through Fitzroy Gardens. Tonight indulge in a three-course meal aboard the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. (BFD) Overnight: Melbourne, Hotel Sofitel (two nights) Day 13: Day at Leisure Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before exploring Melbourne; take a tour of the Great Ocean Road to see the magnificent Twelve Apostles, or see the Little Penguins at Phillip Island (own expense). Day 14: Alice Springs, Town Tour, Outback Dinner Join your flight to Alice Springs (airfare not included). On arrival, enjoy a town tour including the Telegraph Station and the Royal Flying Doctor Service Base, before an Aussie Outback Dinner and Aboriginal performance. (BFD) Overnight: Alice Springs, Crowne Plaza Hotel Day 15: Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (Olgas) Try riding a camel at a camel farm (own expense). Visit Kata Tjuta and see the amazing colour changes as the sun sets on Uluru. You may wish to dine under the stars at the `Sounds of Silence' dinner (additional cost applies, please enquire). (B) Overnight: Ayers Rock Resort, Voyages Sails in the Desert Day 16: Base Tour of Uluru, Aboriginal Art, Tropical Cairns Take a guided walk to Mutitjulu waterhole. Tour the base of Uluru before joining your guide to learn about the region. Alternatively, you can climb Uluru. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Later, board a flight to Cairns (airfare
not included). (B) Overnight: Cairns, Shangri-La Day 17: Dunk Island Take a short drive to Mission Beach, where we join a cruise to Dunk Island, your home for the next two nights. This afternoon is free for you to relax. (BD) Overnight: Dunk Island (two nights) Day 18: Great Barrier Reef Cruise You will moor at Beaver Cay. Swim, snorkel, relax on the beach or tour in the glass bottom boat. (BFL) Day 19: Cairns and Kuranda Back on the mainland, enjoy a journey into the rainforest. Later, board the Kuranda Scenic Railway and travel back to Cairns. Tonight is a special Farewell Dinner. (BFD) Overnight: Cairns, Shangri-La Day 20: Cairns Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your hotel marking the end of an epic journey. (B)
