Departures: from Perth every Wednesday Day 1: Arrive Perth Private transfer from the airport to your chosen hotel for three nights. Today, enjoy some free time exploring this young and modern city, which boasts year-round sunshine. Standard: Ibis Hotel Superior: Saville on Hay Perth Deluxe: Sheraton Perth Day 2: Perth Sightseeing Today's city tour starts in Kings Park Botanical Gardens, with a canopy stroll along the Tree Top Walkway. Travel via one of the city's most popular beaches to explore the historic port of Fremantle. Cruise back to Perth along the Swan River with wine tasting along the way and, this afternoon, visit Caversham Wildlife Park for a chance to feed kangaroos and touch a cute koala. Day 3: Perth 4WD Pinnacles, Koalas & Sand Boarding Enjoy an exciting and varied day tour to the moon-like landscape of the Pinnacles Desert, with highlights including off-road driving, sand boarding on huge dunes, swimming in the Indian Ocean (weather permitting), hand-feeding kangaroos and photographing koalas. Day 4: Perth Sydney Scenic Harbour Flight Private transfer to the airport for your flight to Sydney where, on arrival, you will be transferred to your chosen hotel for four nights. Depending on your arrival time in Sydney, you may choose to go heli-sightseeing either today or on day six, your full day at leisure. Sweep over the dramatic harbour and enjoy fantastic aerial views of the famous Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Standard: Mercure Sydney Superior: The Menzies Sydney Deluxe: Sofitel Wentworth Day 5: Sydney Tour & Harbour Cruise Today's sightseeing starts as you travel north over the Harboour Bridge to the northern beaches. Stop at Milson's Point for panoramic views of the bridge and skyline and enjoy a stroll under the Norfolk Pines in Manly, a wonderful seaside resort. Return to the city in time for a fabulous luncheon cruise on beautiful Sydney Harbour. The afternoon's sightseeing will include the Rocks, Darling Harbour, Bondi Beach and awesome views of the Opera House from Mrs. Macquarie's Chair. (L) Day 6: Sydney Explore Sydney at leisure. If you didn't have time on your day of arrival for the heli-sightseeing then now's the time to enjoy your 20-minute scenic flight.

Day 7: The Blue Mountains Travel to the picturesque Blue Mountains National Park, and take in the views from the scenic Cliff Drive. At Echo Point, witness the spectacular Three Sisters rock formation towering over the Jamison Valley. Enjoy a ride on the Scenic Skyway or Scenic Railway (own expense) before continuing to Featherdale Wildlife Park, where the will be an opportunity to hand-feed kangaroos, see crocodiles and cuddle a koala before returning to Sydney. Day 8: Sydney The Indian Pacific Enjoy a morning at leisure, and a private transfer early this afternoon to Sydney station. Board the legendary Indian Pacific train for your journey to Adelaide, which passes through the Blue Mountains and the heartlands of New South Wales. With an on-board style reminiscent of a fine hotel, you can enjoy pre-dinner drinks and a delicious meal, before settling down into your cabin for the night. (LD) Standard, Superior & Deluxe: Gold Kangaroo Service Day 9: The Indian Pacific - Adelaide This morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the train glides slowly through the elegant old railway station at Jamestown. Travel through Gladstone on the banks of the beautiful Rocky River, before arriving into Adelaide. Transfer by private vehicle to your chosen hotel for a three-night stay. (BL) Standard: Mercure Grosvenor Hotel Superior: Holiday Inn Adelaide Deluxe: Hyatt Regency Adelaide Day 10: Adelaide Sightseeing Enjoy a comprehensive tour of Adelaide's city squares, Haigh's famous chocolate factory, and the spectacular city views from Montefiore Hill. The tour also heads down to the seaside town of Glenelg, for a spot of shopping or sunbathing. The evening is at leisure. Day 11: Barossa Valley Today's scenic coach tour passes the villages of Bethany and Lyndoch en-route to the Barossa Valley, the largest wine-producing area in Australia. Visit three premium cellar doors to enjoy wine-tasting and lunch in the heart of the valley. Visit the renowned Wolf Blass Visitor Centre, and walk through 100 year-old vines at Langmeil Winery. (L) Day 12: Adelaide - The Ghan Transfer by private vehicle back to Adelaide station to board The Ghan as it travels north into the heart of Australia. Originally, The Ghan followed the inland trail of the Afghan camel trains, though's today's rail adventure follows a route rather more westerly than the first.
